ABOUT US

The Company

Lecureux SA was founded in 1961 by Bernard Lecureux, the inventor of the first electric screwdriver for the watchmaking industry, who contributed significantly to the success and development of the company.

While this revolutionary invention remains a recognized benchmark to this day, numerous advancements have enriched our product portfolio over the years. The renowned tool is now networked and was recently further enhanced with a high-precision optical encoder.

In the late 1990s, Lecureux SA diversified through the acquisition of various companies. The first acquisition was Femto, a manufacturer of measuring instruments for quartz and mechanical watch movements, followed by the acquisition of CHMicrotech, a company involved in the assembly of moving parts and the packaging of bridges, circuit boards, and other components.

This is an important strategic step for Lecureux SA, as it allows the company to enter the pre-assembly sector. This area was strengthened in 2007 through the acquisition of Covatec, a company that manufactures presses, welding equipment, and specialized systems primarily for the watchmaking industry. At the end of 2012, the Lecureux Group acquired Stoco, a manufacturer of component assembly machinery that also operates in the supply sector.

Our company is known today for its expertise in automation, assembly, and conveyor systems. Our HSM1708 watch hands fitting device, and more recently our chronometry cell, are among the company's flagship products due to their innovative strength and user-friendliness.

With around fifty employees, our Biel-based company is a valuable partner for the economic center of the Jura region.

Thanks to our expertise, we hold a leading position today in the assembly, inspection, and testing of high-precision and high-tech components in diverse industries such as watchmaking, medical technology, and any other sector where quality and precision are paramount. Our specialized knowledge in various fields enables us to offer our customers standard solutions or fully customized solutions in the areas of mechanics, electronics, software development, image processing, and robotics.

Lecureux is the only company that handles all production steps in-house, ensuring all necessary quality controls. From electronic circuits and the manufacture of tools and transport systems to the development of mechanical software – we manage it all ourselves. Thanks to our assembly, commissioning, and the quality of our after-sales service, we can guarantee a high-quality end product and distinguish ourselves from others through our expertise.
